Self Assured

I'm not convinced that you see me for who I am

It's such a threat when it's unclear where things stand

I couldn't see this coming, guess things are never easy

Why couldn't this be my everything

I was self assured on every word

So you said that you cared

Cared til' things started to drift away

Well I know that it hurts

But I felt the same way

I thought perfection lived

Inside these eyes of mine

But as anything else

I guess I was just blind

I was self assured on every word

The truth comes out as action takes it's course

Cause in the end it's not about the words
