I wanna believe the words that you tell me

I wanna believe that they are true

But sometimes it is so hard

When they're so far out of this world

And all I can see are your actions shining through

I want you to open up and spill your guts to me

I would tell you anything you wanted to know

My eyes are a little dim but I'm not too blind to see

I wouldn't lie to you if it'd save my soul

It's only getting worse as I can see right through your eyes

I think it's best that I just leave you to your selfishness

Sometimes it is so hard when you've caught me off guard

But now I can see how your words, they never come true
